Paul Duncan is the Vice President and Senior Financial Advisor at Duncan Financial. He has been working in the financial services industry since 1994 and he holds both the Series 7 and Series 66 licenses. Paul earned his bachelor's degree in economics from UC San Diego and holds the Certified Fund Specialist (CFS*) designation.
Paul’s immense knowledge and innovative approach to guiding people to be prepared for retirement has helped Duncan Financial create solutions that have allowed hundreds of families to achieve their retirement objectives and achieve enjoyable, comfortable retirements. He serves on Duncan Financial’s Investment Committee, and his expertise has assisted Duncan Financial in designing smart strategies that balance risk and reward for their clients. Paul also conducts Duncan Financial’s workshops, teaching San Diego County residents about various retirement and investment topics.
Prior to joining forces with his brother at Duncan Financial Paul served as Branch President for a regional banking firm. Tired of working in environments that were product driven, he decided that the client centric focus at Duncan Financial was the proper place for him. Working with a firm that delivers on its promises and being able to provide conflict-free advice has enabled Paul to take the time to listen carefully to each and every client, making it easy for him to understand their needs.
Paul helps coordinate the many charitable endeavors that Duncan Financial supports, including the United Way, and he actively gives both his time and money to the Ronald McDonald House, which helps provide families who need a “home away from home” while their children receive treatment at Children’s Hospital. Paul lives in San Diego with his wife, Jenna and their two sons. In his spare time he loves to surf, scuba dive, and he tries to play golf. He is also an avid Chargers fan.
